JUMPIN' TO JUNIORS |
Ages:
3rd grade only |
|
Brownie Girl Scouts preparing to bridge to
Junior Girl Scouting can come to Camp Libbey and
work on their bridging requirements, all while
having fun with Junior Girl Scouts who will
serve as their hostesses and teach their
classes. Only bridging brownies are eligible to
attend this program. Girls will work on their
first Junior badge, “Making It Matter” by
learning about polymers, engineering, and acids
and bases as well as work toward bridging
requirements, such as learning about being a
Junior Girl Scout from their hostesses. The
Brownie leaders will have the option of
attending the Junior Leader training while the
girls are going through their classes, if you
would like more adults in the training indicate
so on your registration form (at least
one adult must travel to the classes with the
girls). * It is not required that girls attend
this program in order to bridge to Junior Girl
Scouts. Troops that attend this program do NOT
complete the activities for the Bridge to
Juniors patch. Lunch is included with this
program.
Note: In order to provide this program to
the most girls, troops must limit their number
of adults to one adult per five girls. |
