Community-sponsored opportunities offer troops/individuals activities that support the Girl Scout program goals.  These community groups have chosen to be listed in our resources and on our website and are familiar with our program goals, as well as Safety-Wise requirements.

Inclusion in the Volunteer Resource Disc is not an endorsement of these agencies.  Troop leaders should research the event/activity prior to registering for an event/activity to ensure that the event meets the needs and interests of their girls and all safety regulations are being met.

Drawing & Painting

Girls will work with volunteers and artists from Visionaries and Voices to learn painting and drawing techniques using different tools, textures, and media.  The girls will work with artists of different abilities to learn how artists who can not use standard techniques, such as painting with their hands, might create artwork by using other parts of the body in order to create.  The girls’ artwork will be exhibited at an upcoming Visionaries and Voices open house gallery exhibit at either studio.  Participation fulfills the Drawing and Painting badge requirements.
